Kenton and Michele Rein, Calgary

We just had our 12th trip with KP and our expectations were exceeded once again. Not sure how these trips bring out the courage to try new things we would never normally do, but there we were jumping off a cliff with a kite! Fantastic performances by iconic Canadian musicians, terrific food and drink, wonderful cultural experiences, new friends made, and so many laughs. Thank you!

Unexpectedly Epic Oregon – Wine, Waves and Wild Fun
April 10-15, 2025

Who knew that Oregon’s Willamette Valley has become one of the world’s coolest hot spots for great pinot noir and chardonnay, with over 800 wineries now populating the state. Kitchen Party's resident wine expert David Lawrason knew and has drawn up a playbook for five days of wine exploration among the majestic Dundee Hills, plus a day of beachcombing and dune surfing followed by pints and pizza at the famed Pelican pub in Pacific City. Our home base is the classic Atticus Hotel in downtown McMinnville - small town America chock-full of tasting rooms, brewpubs, galleries and amazing restaurants. Gorgeous terrain hikes weave through the vineyard while the foothills of the Willamette Valley are laden with rewarding views and lush landscapes. Our days will end in true KP party style with fabulous concerts. All so unexpected, and epic!

Featured musicians: Steven Page (founding member and former lead singer, guitarist and primary songwriter of the Barenaked Ladies) along with amazing cellist Kevin Fox (Steven Page Trio) and Craig Northey (The Odds and Steven Page Trio). In addition, Johnny Reid (Multi-Platinum selling, Juno Award-winning artist, producer and playwright) will be with us, along with keyboardist Michael Shand.

Portugal - Sizzling Lisbon and Epic Alentejo!
May 2-9, 2025

With its style, design and incredible food scene, it's no wonder that Lisbon is currently the hottest capital in Europe. Guests will spend 2 nights at THE most sought-after address in town -- THE ONE Palácio da Anunciada, located on the city's chicest boulevard, Avenida da Liberdade. We have secured reservations for all guests at the legendary JNcQUOI restaurant and private club for an unforgettable dining experience. Next, we head to Portugal's best-kept secret -- the Alentejo, 90 minutes east of Lisbon and just 7 minutes from UNESCO World Heritage Évora, recently named European Capital of Culture 2027. We will stay 5 nights at the fabulous 5-star Convento do Espinheiro Hotel & Spa. The Alentejo has a rural elegance second to none, with some of the best cycling in Europe and incredible hiking through ancient cork forests and epic medieval castles. It's also a wine lover's paradise -- Kitchen Party has secured reservations for all guests at the esteemed restaurant/winery, Howard's Folly. Featured superstar chef Gabriel Gonzalez Andrade will create unique culinary celebrations of all things Portuguese!

Norway - The Great Norwegian Adventure from Fjord to Table Along the Wild Atlantic!
May 19-26, 2025

This trip is anchored in two magnificent expressions of Norwegian culture: city and island. We begin this grand adventure with 3 nights in Bergen, Norway’s second-largest city and a hotbed of culture and cuisine. Guests will stay at the Opus XVI, a monumental hotel named after Norway’s most beloved composer, Edvard Grieg. A 45-minute ferry ride brings us to Austevoll, a community of 667 islands, connected by a vast network of bridges and waterways, where the true soul of Norway still resides. Here guests will be charmed by hiking in untouched nature, water sports, fishing and unique culinary experiences run by local fishermen. The elegant cuisine of Ørjan Johannessen, winner of the Bocuse d’Or, Europe’s most prestigious culinary prize, will cap off an incredible week. Our property, The Bekkjarvik Guesthouse, is a 17th-century building full of lore and authenticity. Join us on Kitchen Party's maiden voyage to Scandinavia -- a true Norwegian celebration!
