On Wednesday, October 16th, six chefs competed at the regional qualifier for the Canadian Culinary Championship. It was a sold-out exquisite event at The Pipe Shop in North Vancouver. The guests savoured the dishes and the well-chosen paired beverages as they enjoyed each other’s company, as well as the incredible talent of Tom Cochrane (Red Rider) and Barney Bentall (Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts and The Cariboo Express). The emcee, Al Murdoch, guided the evening with expertise and style.

Bronze: Chef Johah Joffe from Bar Bravo

Gold: Chef Alex Kim from Five Sails Restaurant

Silver: Chef Bo Li from The Fish Man
paired with Unsworth Vineyard 2022, Chardonnay, Cowichan Valley, BC

Chef Kim will go on to represent Vancouver at the Canadian Culinary Championship on January 31 - February 1, 2025, in Ottawa
